Show STATE LANDS SOON TO BE CLEARED OF ALL RODENTS At a meeting attended last l'ridsy b.V the slate Inmnl of oxaminer, the state iHHtrd of land comimfnuero, mid Harold II. Hagan, representing the state rnqt and post commission, It was decided that tho land hoard nirtV be required to spend out of it contingent fund n nuf fit lent amount to clear slate land in it section of Shu Juan county which it i desired to free from rodent. The tract to ho cleared contain n hundred mid fifteen thousand acres, parllv lit pnvnto ownership, and nlto partly owned by thu slate nnd national na-tional governments. The national government will contribute its share in strchiiiue. Tho statu will contribute con-tribute about six hundred dollars, it i estimated, thu cont being something like four rents nn ncre. Tho sittlcrs will rontrlbuto the remainder, all tho land being on n pro rata basis. It was said that tho campaign will increase in-crease the value of tho statu laud for graring puroc. The statu hind board will contribute tho nmomit from it contingent fund. It was brought out ut the meeting that the laud board alreadv ha applied ap-plied for it deficit (hi cr of ten thousand dollar in that fund, It wa suggested that should the contribution contribu-tion required from the contingtnt fund he houvv, an additional dcliiit may have to be usked. |
