Show Lindon Lions Hold Monthly Dinner Meeting Last Friday President Lee Sivenson has asked coo:xration of all Lion Club members to help keep the newly seeded areas of the park well watered. Mr. and Mrs. John Brandt, the committee on sight consei-vation, presented a request to the club for funds to purchase a pair of glasses for a local needy child. Lion Club members present all paid in enough to see this pro-jtct pro-jtct through. It was decided that the Lindon Lin-don Lions and Pleasant Grove Lions would go together this year to send a boy from Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove High School to Boy's State. The thirty members in attendance, attend-ance, including their guests, were served a home-cooked meal prepared pre-pared by La.dy Lions. Chairman Sena Brandt was assisted by Margaret Holdaway, Patsy Roun-dy, Roun-dy, Theone Blaine and Cac Davids The Lindon Lions held their monthly dinner meeting with wives in attendance last Friday evening at the Lindon Community Commun-ity building. The club had as their guests Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Scoville and Glen Post from Salt Lake City. Accompanying them was Mrs. Verl Mallinson of American Am-erican Fork. Mr. Scoville introduced the film "Starving on a Full Stomach" after af-ter which it u-as presented by Mr. Poat. The film was narrated i by Harry Bonzell, well-known TV I announcer. Other inter-club visitors from the Orem Club were Murray Kes-ler, Kes-ler, Walter E. WiUes, Carl W. Reed, J. Warren Salmon and Jim Dexter. The committee for the annual Lindon Lions Fund-Raising Banquet, Ban-quet, announced it would be held on Friday, May 8 at the Lindon Ward. Everyone in the county is invited to attend this annual event; the proceeds of which will go for improvements to the local park. Ticket chairmen are Charles Rodeback and Ivan Blain and they report they are now available avail-able from any Lion Club member. mem-ber. Warren Kirk, program chairman, chair-man, also reported that he has a very goad program lined up. There will be a tasty home-cooked meal under the direction of food chairman, Sena Brandt. |
