Show Reception Honors Newlyweds in Lindon August 12 Newly-married, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Beers were honored at an openhouse held in the Lindon 'Ward on Wednesday evening. The new Mrs. Beers is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd B. Ivers of Edgemont. Jim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Beers of Lindon. The bride was radiant in a white laoe sheath dress adorned with a single orchid on her shoulder. shoul-der. The bride's mother chose a blue and white summer frock with a pink carnation corsage while the groom's mother wore a navy blue summer dress with a white carnation corsage. A color scheme of orchid and white was very skillfully carried out in all details. The four-tiened wedding cake was trimmed with silver bells and orchid bows which matched identically the ribbons on the bride's corsage. Receiving in line were Mrs. Lloyd Ivers, Mrs. Elmo Beers, the bride and groom and Tom Beers, brother of the groom. Welcoming at the door was Loretta Smith and Jack Edwards along with the groom's brother, Steven Beers. The bride's book was presided over by her sister, 'Mrs. Judy Young. Gift bearers were Sally Beers and Susan Chi-desteir Chi-desteir while the gift room was oared for by Joyce Rog'ers, Ver-gia Ver-gia Scott, Iva Wall and Kathy Davis. Refreshments were attractively served by Carol Chidester, Doris Johnson, Helen Walker and Lor-na Lor-na Fothringham. The newlyweds will make their home in Salt Lake City where : the groom is now employed. |
