Show "Majestic (ilory of Autumn" !s Theme CM Community Fair With the theme "Majestic Glory of Autumn," plans are progressing' for a very lively and interesting Fair on Sept. 5. The Pleasant Grove Garden Club have a well-organized well-organized flower show ananged with prizes for Queen of the Show, Sweepstakes, Artistic arrangements, arrange-ments, Junior Boy and Junior Girl and Theme Arrangements. The Art Exhibit, under the direction dir-ection of Harold Woolston, .vilh the cooperation of the "Art Guild" with William Freeman president, have a very interesting exhibit planned. New features that have developed devel-oped include a miscellaneous division divi-sion with George Jaynes as supervisor. super-visor. This includes exhibits by American Legion and the Auxiliary and the Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Churches,, etc. Novelty entertainment features have been added with Russell Schow and Glenn Gilbert in charge. This included a power lawn mower rase, husband calling contest, ball throwing contest, a unique dog contest, planned, so groom your pet for either the smallest dog-, largest dog, longest haired dog, ugliest ug-liest dog, etc. These events will take place from 4 to 6 o'clock p.m. A tractor driving contest will be held under the direction of the Young Fanners. Special amusement contests will be under the direction of Edward D. Christensen. Door prizes are also to be awarded. A new division has been added, which will include plant sale and baked goods sale. |
