Show Vikings Win Fifty Percent InBasebalSPlay Pleasant Grove High School's young but improving base ball team has a fifty-fifty average so far this season after completing two practice and two league games. The Vikings have chalked up wins against Payson 7 to 2, and Lehi 22 to 9. In the first game of the year, Payson dumped the Norsemen 6 to 2, and the B. Y. High Wildcats nosed out the locals in a close and exciting game 13 to 12, in a game played last week. "We have a potentially good team," said Coach Guy Hillman Wednesday; "but we could do with a couple of good relief hurlers, and some improved stick men." So far Rolland Robinson has been bearing the brunt of the pitching chores with help from Keith Henrichsen. In the fielding department Coach Hillman is well satisfied with the improvement Shawn by the boys in the last two games. The team was scheduled to play American Fork, Thursday, April 22, but the results were not available avail-able at press time. |
