Show Monthly Meeting of Education Committee Held in Am. Fork The monthly meeting of the committee to study the Aims, Objectives, Ob-jectives, ,Pui-poses, and Philosophy of Education in Alpine District, was held last Thursday at the Alpine Al-pine District Office in American Fork. Superintendent Alma P. Burton was in charge. Objectives of the Elementary and Secondary schools, ,as set forth by a National Education Association publication were reviewed. At the conclusion of the meeting it was decided to divide the whole committee into groups to enable the members to more fully study Alpine District's position in connection con-nection with the four major objectives objec-tives of education as set forth by the Utah Policies Commission. The next two monthly meetings will be of these sub-committees; after which the full group will meet together to-gether to discuss the findings of the individual groups. Objectives to be studied, chairmen chair-men and secretaries of the separate separ-ate committees elected are as follows: fol-lows: 1. "Objectives of Self Realization," Realiza-tion," R. J. Evans, Lehi, Chairman, Chair-man, Mary Price, Iehi, secretary. 2. "Objectives of Human Relationships." Rela-tionships." Winston M. Crawford, Orem, Chairman and Elliot C. Howe, Provo, secretary. 3. "Objectives of Economic Efficiency," Effi-ciency," E. Carlisle Bunker, Orem, Or-em, Chairman, and Ralph B. Ladle. Provo, Secretary. 4. "Objectives of Civic Responsibility," Respon-sibility," Allan D. Johnson, Orem, Chairman. Secretary will be appointed. ap-pointed. Local committee members who attended the July 7 meeting include in-clude Gerald Belliston, Harvey Smith, Junius A.
