Show Freeman Farm Buildings Are Being Replaced An outstanding humanitarian project is currently going forward at the home of William Freeman, whose farm buildings were almost completely destroyed by fire on the early morning of March 23. The Manila Ward, the Timpanogos Stake Seventies, and dozens of friends and neighbors are now engaged en-gaged in restoring the lost buildings build-ings with new structures. The ashes from the conflagration conflagra-tion were still warm, when equipment equip-ment moved in and began the job of clearing away the debris and excavating for the new structures. As of now, footings and foundations founda-tions are in place and cement block walls completed for a dairy barn, including milking stanchions, a milk house and feed room. All of the labor for the 650 square foot structure has been furnished and considerable serviceable material donated. The blocks have been laid by a group of young men who learned block laying as one of their 4-H activities. A local carpenter is supervising the construction. Those in charge of the project hope to begin construction of the farm equipment shed tomorrow (Saturday). Any men who can donate do-nate a day's work will be welcome. |
