BEERS Reception Held Friday for Popular Young NewSyweds in First Ward Hall The First-Fifth Ward Chapel was gayly lighted and decorated Friday evening when Mr. and Mrs. Floyd R. Lewis entertained at a reception honoring their daughter Gwen, and Monte D. Beers, who were married Dec. 1. The attractive bride greeted friends in a gown of shimmering white satin, modeled with high neckline and leng pointed sleeves. The full skirt was fashioned with ruffles of satin and lace down both sides. The fingertip veil of sheer illusion fell from a tiara of orange blossoms. She carried a bridal bouquet bou-quet of pink roses and white carnations car-nations and stephonatis. Her attendants were beautifully gowned in shades cf pastel blue and were holding nosegays of pom pom chrysanthemums and carnations. carna-tions. They were Colleen Lewis, matron of honor, . Elizabeth Millar, maid of honor, and Shirley Roberts, Rob-erts, Claudia Woclston and Betty Beeis. Carl Clark stood as best man. Assisting the young couple in receiving friends were their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lewis candLs and silver bells. Formally clad young ladies who served were Sharon Park, RaChel Anderson, Julia Ann Warnick and Norma Jean Warnick. Preparing trays were Anne Lewis, Doris Zupan, Rosalie Banks, Pearl Fowlke, and Leah Miller. Gift display was arranged by Mrs. B, Cobbley, Mrs. Merrill Max-field, Max-field, Mrs. Grant Wright. Gift bearers were Lorraine Cobbley, La-Rita La-Rita Lewis, Eddie Lewis, and Jay Maxfield. The popular young couple were married on Dec. 1 at the home of the bride's parents, with Bishop Harvey Smith officiating. Only immediate im-mediate families were present. The bride's sole attendant was Elizabeth Millar, and Carl Clark was best man. Mrs. Warren Kirk and Mrs. K. Adams furnised music at the reception. re-ception. The new bride has resumed her studies at the Pleasant Grove High School. After the Yuletide season, she will join her husband in Logan where he is attending the Utah State Agricultural College. and Mr. and Mrs. Leland W. Beers. Greeting guests at the door were Joan Beckstrand and Clint Lewis. Shaion Ann Wright was busy with the guest registration. Pauline Lewis presided in the dining" room where the same dainty motif of blue and silver was carried car-ried out.
