Show Affairs of the City Handled by the P. G. City Officials With the Mayor and a full quorum of Councilmen present, the City Fathers met in regular session last Tuesday night in the city hall. A delegation of citizens of the Second North area met with the council and protested the keeping of turkeys and chickens in the area. They called aLtention to the Class "A" Residence zoning of the district. The citizens were advised to circulate a petition of protest to be filed with the City Council who in turn 'would refer the matter mat-ter to the Board of Health.. Mayor Adams and Recorder Millen D Radmall were authorized authoriz-ed to sig'n a s:tt,vice agreement with Utah Power and Light Company Com-pany whioh includes the lights we now have and the new lights on Battle Creek Drive. Clyde Hill requested the city to extend water lines and build a roadway to his proposed home in Battle Creek Heights. The council voted to niakei the water extensions and to study the matter mat-ter of the roadway. Mayor Adams requested that a letter be sent to County Commissioner Com-missioner Marcellus Nielson, requesting re-questing a rebate of taxes on the property on North Main, now occupied oc-cupied by the new Fire Station. |
