Show Funeral Services for C. B. Matthews Held Wednesday Coiiulius Baxter Matthews, 55, died suddenly at the American Fork Hospital Sunday morning at 10 a.m. following an illness of a month. He vas born at Pleasant Grove, Jan. 25, 1903, the son of Walter John and Margaret Baxter Matth-nws. Matth-nws. He attended schools at Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove and in 19-18 moved to Highland, where he has since made his home. He was an elder and an active member of the LDS Church. He was an employee of the Columbia Geneva Steel Co., at the time of his death. Mr. Matthews married Geneva Lewis of Provo, May 10, 1930. Thoir marriage was later solemnized solemn-ized In the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He is survived by his wife and six children, Cornelius H. Matthews, Matth-ews, Midvale; Vern L. Matthews, Vcrl B. Matthews, Geneal Matthews, Matth-ews, and Marion Matthews, all of American Fork. The following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Josiah (Elizabeth) Kemp, Lehi; Mrs. Marion Mar-ion (Beat a) Adt.mson, Glen Matthews, Matth-ews, Mrs. Raymond (Margaret) Frp.mpton, Howard Matthews, all of Pleasant Grove; Douglas Matthews, Matth-ews, Murray and John Matthews, Glnndale, Calif. Funeral services, directed by Ol-pin-Sundberg Mortuary, were conduced con-duced Wednesday at Highland, Ward Chapel. |
