Show Committees of Ten Making Surveys at Both PG Schools The evaluation of secondary and elementary schools in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove by the Committees of Ten in each school has been completed com-pleted in Central School, and will be completed in the high school by the first of the week. The Committee of Ten is made up of fve lay citizens and five schools teachers in each school in the state. Findings of the committees will be sent in to the Utah School Survey Commission in composite form after 10 different differ-ent reactjons have been made. Both Principal Floyd S. Holm and Principal Ray Merrill agreed that the evaluation of schools, covering cov-ering all phases of school problems, prob-lems, "is a wholesome thing. We welcome the inspection." "According to an inductory statement from the "commission of 60" this evaluation instrument is "designed to serve as one means of appraising the instrumental program in the schools of Utah. It is prepared for the purpose of guiding educators and lay people in looking at the total program as it contributes or fails to contribute contri-bute to the wholesome development develop-ment of the child as a person and also a worthy member of his community," it said in part. The Committee of Ten in the high school includes: Mr. Holm, Eldon Johnson, co-chairmen; Karl Banks, Mrs. George Jaynes, Mrs. Jesse Thorne, Mrs. LeRoy Thorne, laymen, Lyean Johnson, A. J. Rogers, Theo. Rees, Max Shifrer, Josie Walker, teachers. Central School: Mr. Merrill, Mrs. Gwen Adams, co-chairmen; J. A. West, Lewis Harmer, Viola Beers, Ella Jackson, laymen.
