Queen Elizabeth and her court members selected watches as modern women wom-en do their hats to match their various costumes. In those days watches were usually worn on a chain or ribbon around the neck for display and glamour purposes. Mary, Queen ot Scots, asked watchmakers watch-makers for a small watch in the shape of a human skull a cheerful fashion of the time. Many others were shaped in the form of insecti, flowers, animals, etc.-
