Show Lyle Overlade Receives Bronze Star in Korea Mrs. A. R. Overlade has this week received from the Las Vegas Review Journal, the following printed citation regarding her son Lt. Col. Lyle W. Overlade. "Lt. Col. Lyle W. Overlade, 1207 Jesnca, Las Vegas, received the Bronze Star medal from Lt. General Gen-eral S. E. Anderson,;5th Air Force Commander. "He was cited for meritorious service ser-vice as air liaison officer to the First Republic of Korea. The citation cita-tion was for effective training of ROK officers, to provide close air support of ground forces." Lt. Col. Overlade's wife Murial and two small daughters live at Las Vegas. Lyle graduated from the University of Utah School of Business and also from the ROTC. He served 41i years in World War II in Hawaii and Okinawa, where he attained the rank of major. He has been in Korea one year and had completed 30 bombing bomb-ing missions when, he was called to his new duties of training ROK officers. Lt. Col. Overlade's next assignment assign-ment is at Albuquerque, N. M. He and his wife are busy making arrangements ar-rangements for their next move, while their two little daughters are visiting here with their grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. A. R. Overlade. I |
