Show Colorful Artwork Displayed In UP&L Co. Windows This Week During the past week passers-by have been stopping to admire the two colorful displays in the Utah Power & Light Co's office windows. win-dows. They are both examples of fine art and represent many hours of technical, arduous craftsmanship. craftsman-ship. The exhibit in the south window represents the fine work by those enrolled in either of two leather-craft leather-craft classes organized for adults. The classes, taught by Elden Westover of the Pleasant Grove High School Faculty, have been held every Thursday since their organization last February 12. Both classes lasted for nine-week periods. The enrollment for the leather-work leather-work classes are as follows: Dr. and Mrs. Vi.rian O. Tritt, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Woolston, Beverly Gray, Fred Hoffman, George Adams, Helen West. Daryl Rob-bins, Rob-bins, Barbara Adams, Lynn Gray, Bud Barnes, Norman Taylor, Beth Olsen, LeRoy Neilson, Sytha Johnson, John-son, and Ellen Prestwich. The exhibit in the north window contains examples of the fine talent tal-ent in sculptoring constantly being developed at the Pleasant Grove High School art classes. This display dis-play includes plaster-casting, freehand free-hand modeling from native clay, and wood carving. They have all been glazed appropriate colors, baked, glazed a second time with a specially compounded coating, then given the final baking. After the second bake the subject sub-ject has a hard glossy finish, and the colors stand out brightly, providing pro-viding an ample reward for the creative student. Harold Woolston is head of the fine arts department.
