Show IVlemoriai Day bunion Held For 1928 Class Tn: class of 1P2S of the Pleasant f'-i'ove high school met in happy iv.mion on Memorial Day just 25 -.cars a run- they left the high school and set sail for new ports. At 2:30 p.m. they met at the Pleasant Grove high school for a renewal of friendships. Needless to say it was a jolly gathering. Pictures Pic-tures were taken, first of the class members and then of the entire en-tire group. At 8:30 they re-assembled at the Alpine Grill for dinner and informal infor-mal program, where members introduced in-troduced their partners and briefly related experiences of the last 25 years. Returning' to the high school following, fol-lowing, a program was enjoyed with Reed Walker, master of ceremonies. cere-monies. Traycr was offered by Alex Al-ex Wadley, numbers by Martial Bond, Gene Nelson, Reed Coulam and Glade Linebaug'h. Singing- the class song by the group! two vocal solos by Gertrude Ger-trude Gourley Trantor, accompanied accompan-ied by Helen Gamett Smith; and acrobatic numbers by Alice and JUU 11U1 UU1U1. Vocal number was given by Gene Nelson of Provo. Eldon Johnson rcminesced over school days. Two clarinet numbers were given by Reed Coulam of Twin Falls, Ida., and two vocal numbers by Beth Blackvvell Jones of Provo. A humorous endurance test, Harold Peay, Leo Bezzant, Leo Hales, Alex Wadley, John Gill-man, Gill-man, Ralph Smith. Short talks were made by A. P. Warnick, former principal of P.G. I high school and Miss Estelle Fen- ton and H. S. Richards. The program- closed with Gene Nelson i singing "The Lord's Prayer." ' Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Warnick, Miss Estelle Fenton, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy R. West and S. A. Kirk. Following' class members were also honored, Mr. and Mrs. Spen-I Spen-I cer Hayes of Southgate, Calif, for having traveled the farthest to at- tend the reunion; for having- the most children, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnson; for having- the most grandchildren, Gene and Eva Yancey Yan-cey Nelson, for being: the longest long-est married, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peay. For having the youngest child. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Linebaug'h. Line-baug'h. Jesse K. Thorne was general chairman of the affair with Gene and Eva Yancey Nelson as committee. |
