Show Hales Named To Head City Recreation Assoc. Clifford Hales, Pleasant Grove businessman, Tuesday night was named chairman of the summer recreational program for 1950 at a meeting held in the high school auditorium. L. A.. Clark was the outgoing chairman. The committee named to assist Mr. Hales during the coming year includes Lee Warnick of Manila, Mrs. Mary Moyle, Max Harper of Lindon, Elvin Carson and Mrs. Vivian Viv-ian Evans. During the next two weeks, Mr. Hales and his committee will select se-lect a summer recreational leader and set up the program in general. This program, which has grown into a year around activity is sponsored by Pleasant Grove city, the school board, the chamber of commerce and various civic clubs. It provides planned recreational activities for the youngest to the oldest persons seeking outdoor interests. in-terests. S. A. Kirk was appointed as temporary tem-porary secretary of the program, and will be replaced in the near future. |
