Show LOCAL NEWS Sunday evening after church Bishop and Mrs. H. S. Walker entertained en-tertained other members of the bishopric and their wives. A social hour and luncheon was very much enjoyed. Mrs. Karl Banks, department president of the, American Legion Auxiliary, and Mrs. L. P. Harvey and Mrs. M. D. Radmall attended the convention of the auxiliary in the Hotel Utah on Saturday. Private Alden Q. Winters, now stationed with the 538th Maintenance Mainten-ance Co. at Fort Lewis Washington, Washing-ton, spent the Christmas holidays visiting with his mother, Mrs. Norma Winters and family. Alden left after the holidays to return re-turn to his military training. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holdaway and Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Fugal were guests at an old schoolmates get-together party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Fischio in Salt Lake City one day the past week. Other guests of the Fischios -were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Holien of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Del-bert Del-bert Fugal of Sandy. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Henrich-son Henrich-son entertained at a turkey dinner din-ner Sunday. The table was lighted with white candles in crystal holders hol-ders and covers were laid for Mrs. Mary Henrichson of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Rasmussen, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wells and daughters daugh-ters Lorna Faye and Mary Lou, the host and hostess and their son Keith. The Gospel Message class of the Third ward had a bob sled perty Wednesday night. A great time was had by the class and their partners. Chili was enjoyed after at the home of M. S. Christiansen. Chris-tiansen. In charge of arrangements were John Christiansen, Alene Rasmussen, Ras-mussen, and Dee Walker. The lesson les-son this year is going to be Courtship, Court-ship, Marriage and the Family with John Fugal as the teacher. |
