Show Pleasant Grove Baseball Team Starts Second Half At Provo The Pleasant Grove baseball team, playing this year with a group of new players, ended up out of the cellar the first half with a record of four wins and ten losses. loss-es. The Orem ball club was last, having failed to win any ball games in the first half of league play. The record however does not show the close ball games lost to some of the league leading teams during the first half. The Pleasant Grove club held the Spanish Span-ish Fork nine, winners of the first half to the score of 5-3 in their last encounter. The team expects to make fur ther definite improvement this second half, and while not counting count-ing on winning all their games, are confident they can make a little better showing, and build for next season. This Sunday they play the first game of the second half at Provo, and due to a silght mixup of the rest of the schedule, Manager Frank Laga announces it will be given out in next week's paper. The players are trying to give some fine ball games to the community, com-munity, and the people are asked to come out and support them. |
