Sander, holding on to his hat as stiff wind blows, smiles as he arrives at Hillsborough county courthouse, Manchester, N. II., with his wife and his attorney, Louis Wyman (left), for the start of his trial. Dr. Sander was accused of the "mercy" slaying of Mrs. Abbic C. Borroto, 59, a cancer victim, by injecting air into her veins. The county sheriff claimed that Dr. Sander admitted killing his patient in "a weak moment" after yielding to pleas of her husband to "eliminate" "elim-inate" her to relieve her suffering. The defense contended that the patient was dead before the air was injected in-jected into her veins. |
