Show Relief Societies Will Observe Anniversary March 17, being the anniversary of the organization of the Relief Society, fitting programs will be observed in the wards on Tuesday, March. 15. Manila Ward In Manila ward the program will center around the theme "We Build on the Rocks They Planted," and past relief society presidents will be honored. They are Cora Atwood, and Geneve Dalton, past stake presidents; Mary Monson, Ardena Swenson, Geneve Warnick, Jeanette Warnick and Marie Brown. Following the program, refreshments re-freshments will be served. Grove Ward The Grove ward relief society will honor the visiting teachers with a luncheon at which all relief society members will participate. A snappy program is being arranged. arrang-ed. Meeting this week will be held at 1 o'clock. All members are urged to be present. First Ward First ward relief society anniversary anniver-sary in the First ward will be observed ob-served with a special program and refreshments, honoring the secretary, secret-ary, Ethel Fenton and the visiting teachers, at 2 o'clock on Wednesday, Wednes-day, March 16. All relief society members are cordially urged to be there. Third Ward The Third ward will work toward to-ward the theme "Every Lady, A Relief Society Member." Program is being arranged by Mrs. Hedve Christiansen, chairman and her very able committee, and Mrs. Melva Richins is chairman of the refreshments committee. Invitations Invitat-ions have been extended to every lady in the ward to come out and enjoy the afternoon and share in the joys of relief society. Lindon Ward Lindon will observe the anniversary anniver-sary of relief society organization with a very special program. There will be a brief history of Lindon ward relief society presidents. Tributes will be paid to the visiting visit-ing teachers of tile ward. There will be a short skit, drrected by Ernia Tomlinson and a Bible quiz. Special music is being arranged. Later refreshments, featuring a beautiful birthday cake, decorated by Mrs. Edwards will be served. All relief society ladies are cordially cord-ially asked to be there. v Second Ward In the Second ward relief society soc-iety on Tuesday March 15. Mrs. Ella Jackson will review "The Big Fisherman" by Lloyd Douglas and musical numbers will be arranged. Refreshments will also be served. |
