Show Hall - Jarman Receive Player Of Week Awards Berdean Jarman was awarded a paid of "Lee Riders" after being selected as the player of the week for the Lehi game. Norman Hall, was awarded a pair of Lee Riders after being named player of the week for the Lincoln game. Hall was one big reason why Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove was able to crush the '47 state champs, and the year's region reg-ion 3 champs. Hall is one of the best lineman in Pleasant Grove history. The "Hard Luck" player of the year award was presented to Calvin Cal-vin "Beef" Baxter, one of the co-captains. co-captains. He received a pair of flashy new cords. "Beef" re-injured his knee early in the season and returned to the line-up to do the punting. His punting throughout through-out the season was outstanding. Tr!e two awards were made by Gerald Belliston, manager of the Christensen Store. The Lee's were donated by the Lee Rider Co. and the cords by Christensen's. The presentation was made at the football foot-ball banquet. |
