Show Graveside Services Conducted For War Victim Short graveside services were conducted Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery for L. Gean Christianson, navy hero, who gave his life at Leyte on December 7, 1944. Bishop Leonard Leon-ard Howes of American Fork was in charge. Leonard S Walker, an uncle of the dead boy offered the invocation and Rulon Nichols and Kenneth Robinson sang Jesus Lover of My Soul. The speaker who paid tribute to the boy who gave his life for his country was Darrell Proctor of the Bishopric of American Fork First ward. Dedicatory prayer was offered by M. S. Christianson. Rifle salute was fired by members mem-bers of the American Legion Post No. 70. They were B. H. Adams, William J Peterson, Kay Jacobs, Glen Matthews. Chaplain Irwin Jensen presented the large American Amer-ican flag to the dead boys mother. Pallbearers, all brothers were Armo B., Lloyd, Leonard, Francis, Robert, Byron and Ned Christian-son. Christian-son. Gean was the son of N. P. and Matthilda Stagg Christianson, formerly for-merly of this city, now of American Amer-ican Fork. |
