Show Services For Jos. Johnson Held Last Friday Impressive funeral rites were conducted Friday of last week in the First ward chapel 'for Jos. S. Johnson, aged pioneer, who died earlier in the week at the home of his daughter Mrs. Ferry Nielson of Lindon. With Bishop Lewis Olpin in charge the service began at 2 o'clock. o'-clock. The opening number "Softly Tenderly Jesus Is Calling" was sung by Allen Brothers Quartette Kirby, Elwood, Taylor and Leo. They were accompanied by Miss Carol Clark. Invocation was offered by E. F. Walker. This was followed by a second nuumber "In The Garden" by the Quartette. Speakers w-ere J. A. West. Lion el Myers, and J. W. Gillman. Each paid tribute to the industrious, indus-trious, yet unassuming life of Mr. Johsnson,and told of his honesty and trutworthiness. An organ solo, "O My Father" was played by Irwin Jensen . 'Olrvprr remarks of sympathy and appreciation for the family were spoken by Bishop Olpin. The closing number "Going Home" was sung by Warren Kirk, accompanied by Mrs. Kirk. Benediction was pronounced by S. A. Kirk. Interment directed by Olpin Bros was made in the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove City Cemetery, where the dedicatory prayer was offered by K. Holly Myers. Pall bearers all close relatives of Mr. Johnson were Oran Smith, Spencer Broadhead, Claude Hunting, Hunt-ing, Holly Myers and Kenny Johnson. John-son.
