Show Victor Stokes President Lions Club Victor Stokes was elected President Presi-dent of the Pleasant Grove Lions Club at their meeting in the Third ward on Wedensday evening. H. W. Clark was elected First, and J. Le-Roy Le-Roy Thorne second vice president. S. Christensen was chosen tail-twiter tail-twiter and Leland Ivers was elected lion tamer. H. E Bradley was retained as secretary. sec-retary. New directors are George Jaynes and John Duder. Holdover directors are J. A. West and War-nick War-nick Swenson. The dinner at which the lady Lions also were present, was complete com-plete in every detail, with the large U-shaped tables tastefully decorated with bowls o'f sweet peas. Prof. Morris Mor-ris of the US A C was the speaker. Other business attended to was the choosing of the 7th war loan queen. This honor was accorded to Miss Carol Clark, and the required $5,000 in war bonds was reached. Retiring officers are: S. W. Hilton, Hil-ton, President; S! A. Kirk, vice president; pres-ident; A. B. Gibson and Fred Sum-sion Sum-sion diercljors; Bill Hunter lion tamer and Wm. C. Smith tail twister. |
