Show Local News Items Mrs. Jack Boren and young sen o'f Eureka, spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Archie Boren. Mrs. S. O. Strong of Alpine was a .Pleasant Grove visitor this week. Little Carol Ann Bullock was honored at a birthday party at her home Sunday, when her mother moth-er Mrs. Orval Bullock entertained thirty little friends at a childrens party. Games and refreshments were enjoyed and the little honor I guest received many dainty gifts. i i . i Last Sunday evening in the I Third Ward Sacrament meeting the ! Seventies quorum presented the I program Short talks were made by Riley Richards, P. B. Newman, ! and Calvin Jacob. Three flute soles were played by Allen Jensen. He I was accompanied by Mrs. Taylor ' Allen. Mr. Allen who Is visiting his ; parents Mr and Mrs. C. A Jensen i of Provo is a member of the Ind- ianopoles Symphony Orchestra. The Merrymakers Club was en-j en-j tertained on Thursday evening by Mrs. Louise B. Hiedenreich. Follow-l Follow-l ing the tasty luncheon served at small tables, the guests spent the evening playing Rummy Royal. Mrs. Grace Giles, Mrs. Mary -Jacobs, and Mrs. Mary Price were prize winners. Mrs. Thelma Swenson was a special guest. Other club members present were Mrs. Norma Armitstead, Mrs. Ruth Gamett, Mrs. Josephine Smith, Mrs. Marion Mar-ion Jense, Mrs. Wilma Myers, Mrs. Beth Stott and tire hostess. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Carlson entertained en-tertained their family Sunday in compliment to their two sons in law ,Pfc. Ivan Colledge who recently er-' er-' turned from Itaaly and is spending j a forty-five day furlough with his I wife and son, and Glen Shelley, J who recently received his discharge ; from the TJ S. army where he was a corporal.
