Show Annual Rat Control Dates Now Set Rat Control is a community problem in which every citizen must accept his responsibility if the desired results are to be at- tained. Your city and county officials - have recognized the heavy cost of maintaining a rat population, and expense of feed- ing them, the cost in damaged goods and property and the health liability to livestock, poultry, poul-try, and human beings. They are making it possible for every citizen to rid his premises of this loathesome pest at no personal per-sonal cost or sacrifice. Every year, following the city-wide city-wide rat control project a number num-ber of citizens call on the city ! health authorities, county agents and agricultural inspectors for individual assistance in combating combat-ing rats. These officials work hard to put over an effective rat ! control program and are entitled to the support of everyone affected af-fected during the days set aside for control operations. No taxpayer tax-payer should willingly add unnecessary un-necessary expense to the cost of government by failure to cooperate coop-erate in ridding his city and county of rats during the time set aside for this work. Following Follow-ing the campaign every citizen I should make every effort to prevent pre-vent the re-infestation of his property by constant vigilence in trapping or poisoning every rat which survives the community project of elimination. The U. S. Fish Wild Life Service Serv-ice supervises the community rat-control projects and will give all assistance possible during the days set aside for control. The tentative dates for rat control con-trol in Utah County are November Novem-ber 20 to December 4th, inclusive. inclu-sive. Officers will distribute bait and give instructions between the hours of 10 a. m. and 4 p. m. at the following places: Friday, December 3, Pleasant Grove Fire Station, Dick's Service Station in Lindon; Saturday, December 4, Alpine, Clark's Store; American Fork City Hall; Lehl, Fire Station. |
