Show Wheat Farmers Get Guarantee Of 69c Bushel Wheat farmers of Utah County who participate in the 1940 A. A. A. I Farm program are assured of at least 69c a bushel for their wheat, regardless of the market price, says David H. Jones, Chairman of the Utah County A. A. A. Committee. The 1940 loan rate on No. 2 Hard Winter or No. 1 Soft White wheat in Utah County is 50c. Conservation farmers may earn on the normal yields of their acreage allotments total 19c. Farmers who keep within their allotments and have average yields will thus be assured of a return of about 69c a bushel on their crop. The Utah County loan rate is the same as last year. As in previous years, the loans will be made by the Commodity Credit Corporation. The interest rate will be three per cent. Farmers Farm-ers may make arrangements in the Utah County A. A. A. Office for loans soon after harvest. Farm-stored Farm-stored wheat must be in storage 30 days before loans can be made on It. Both farmer-storage and warehouse ware-house loans will be made. Those who want wheat loans should watch their storage facilities very, carefully. o |
