Show Manila Ward Enjoys Outing In The Canyon Manila ward waa the first to enjoy their summer outing at Mutual Mut-ual Dell this year. With their baggage and supplies loaded into cars and trucks about sirty Mutual boys and girls and their leaders left Monday .morning .morn-ing for the summer" home. After camp preparations and work had been assigned things moved smoothly with sports and games and an informal program Monday evening. Tuesday was ward day and 125 ward members and friends en- joyed dinner at the Dell. Later a well arranged patiotic program was conducted in the am-phiteatre. am-phiteatre. Community singing opened the program; a vocal duet was sung by Carol Reese and Lyle Atwood; patriotic dance by Four M. I. A. girls; tap dance by Joye Bates with harmonica accompaniment accompan-iment by Mary Bates; accordian numbers by Rulon Brimhall. Sepaker of the evening was Don Mack Dalton; Tribute to Service Men by Wm. C. Smith; a vocal solo was sung by Robert Monson and the closing number "Sny A Prayer for the Boys Over There" by Beatrice Stokes. Much sport and amusement wag had at the soft ball and horse shoe tournament. . , ATI in all the outing proved very snceessful and Ray Pulley and Geneve Dalton who. were in charge are to be commpded. |
