Mayor Harper Enters Race For Co. Assessor Mayor S. Duane Harper of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove has filed a petition with his candidacy for the county assessor as-sessor nomination on the Democratic Demo-cratic ticket. Mayor Harper hass erved three terms on the city council before becoming mayor. During these six years of activity in civic affairs he has shown a" progressive spirit and good judgment in boosting city improvements that he expects to carry into his work in the county. Mayor Harper states that he hopes to give dependable, honest service if he is elected assessor and fairness in working for the best good of all the people. For many years a farmer here, Mayor Harper is 51 years old and is well known in Utah county. His wide experience in executive work includes positions in the county farm bureau and the L D S church.
