Show LOCAL-SOCIAL NEWS ITEMS Mr. and Mrs. LaVell Boren axe proud to announce the birth of a daughter at the American Fork hospital on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Thelbert Atkinson and two children of Clearfield, spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday Sun-day with relatives here and in Provo. Miss Mary Smart of Portland, Oregon, a coed at the B. Y. U. was a week-end guest of Miss Jean Anderson. Merrill N. Wanick, president of the Utah Dairy Federation, will attend at-tend the Federation Meeting Friday at the Newhouse Hotel in Salt Lake City. The principal speaker will be Owen M. Richards, of Chicago, manager of the American Dairy Federation. Mrs. Gordon Atkinson with her mother Mrs, Charles Davts and sisters Mrs. Maurice Harding, Mrs. Francis Anderson and Mrs. Vivia Johnson furnished vocal numbers for the Creative Arts Club in Provo Pro-vo Friday. The group also sang at the Provo Third ward sacrament meeting Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Boren entertained en-tertained their family on Thursday of last week in honor of their son Seaman Jack Boren who left Friday Fri-day 'for Treasure Island. The time was spent in games, family visiting and enjoying a tasty luncheon. lun-cheon.
