Show FUNERAL HELD ON A'EDXESDAY FOR i AROL TURNER REESE i . Impressive joint funeral rites j" .vere conducted Wednesday after-ioon after-ioon in Manila Ward Chapel, for Mrs. Carol Turner Reese, who with, her infant daughter, died Friday in a Salt Lake hosoital. The very touching services began be-gan at 2 o'clock with Bishop K. Warnick Swenson in charge. The opening number My Father Knows was sung by Mrs. E. Ray Brown. Invocation was offered by Garrett Smith. Speakers who paid tribute to the young wife and mother and who offered words of faith and encouragement to the bereaved husband and family were Alex Wadley of the Manila Ward Bishopric; Bish-opric; Alonzo Reese, an uncle of the husband, H, V. Swenson and L. M. Atwoo'd Musical numbers interspersing i the speakers were a mixed quartette. quart-ette. My Jesus As Thou Wilt, sung by Orpha Mecham, Maurine Allen, George and Ivan Monson, A vocal solo, Thy Will Be, Done, by Mrs. Emma Reese. After closing remarks, of sympathy sym-pathy and appreciation for the family, by Bishcp Swenson, Mrs. Mecham' and Mrs. Allen sang the closing number In The Garden Mrs. K. Adams accompanied all numbers and played prelude and portlude music. Benediction was pronounced by George Paul. Internment, directed by Olpin Bros, was made in the PI. Grove City cemetery, where Chester Reese offered the graveside grave-side prayer. Carol Turner Reese was born November 25, 1924, at .Virgin, Ut. , ito Isaac and Anemea Mathews Turner, and some years ago moved mov-ed with her parents to Pleasant Grove, where she attended the local high school. She married J. Harold Reese and moved to Salt Lake City to make her home. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, her parents of PI, Grove, one sister Joan, and the following brothers Leo Turner in the service of his country, Biill and Clyde Turner of PI. Grove. |
