Show Mothers Club Elect Officers for ' 1540-4 " Election of 1946-47 officers took place at a meeting of the Mothers Club held Thursday, April 11, at the home of Mrs. B. H. Adams. Mrs. Lealand Clark was chosen President to succeed Mrs. Lacy Wlhite; Mrs. Leo Harvey was named nam-ed vice president, and Mrs. C. A. Gamett secretary, replacing Mrs. Irwin Jensen and Mrs. Ray Merrill. Plans were discussed, and voted upon for the introduction , of a reading circle into the club. Mrs. Grant Y. Anderson was ohosen by the program committee to head a group which will investigate current cur-rent publications, and make recommendations rec-ommendations to the club in the selection of outstanding books. Mrs. Mary Dona Jones of the B. Y.U. Speech department gave a delightful dramatic presentation of "Wutherinbg Heights" a three act play adapted from Emily Bronte's novel. The following delegates were appointed ap-pointed to attend the District convention at Lehi on April 13: Post-War Planning, Mrs. Junus A. West; Drama and Literature, Mrs. Harold S. Wlalker; Music. Mrs. (Vernon Ahman; Citizenship and Peace Service, Mrs. Leo Harvey; ' Youth Conservation, Mrs. Karl Banks; Public Welfare, Mrs. C. A. Gannett. A delicious tray lunch was served ser-ved by the hostess, assisted by her daughter Dawn Marie and Margar. et Dawn Pwadmall. Special guests were Mrs. Don Mack Dalton and Mrs. PJiodes Jeppeson of Provo. |
