Show Pleasant Grove Locals Mr. Glen Robertson, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Robertson, left August 31 for Los Angeles, California, Califor-nia, to attend Woodbury College. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Swenson and family attended the homecoming celebration at Mercur recently. Mr. and Mrs. Sheridan Cragun, who have been living in Sharon ward, are being welcomed back into Windsor ward. They have moved into the Albert Stubbs home. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Maxfield attended at-tended funeral services for Mr. Maxfield's brother, John Maxfield, in Salt Lake City, Sunday. Primary association meetings began Tuesday in the Windsor ward, with a social. There was a good attendance, at-tendance, and all had an enjoyable time. J Mrs. Sarah Hooley announces the arrival of her first grandchild. The proud parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Johnson, of Lehi. Mrs. Johnson is the former Vola Hooley. Mr. and Mrs. Edmund, R. Cragun and daughter, Nyla Mae, spent Saturday in Springville, where they visited Mr. and Mrs. John R. Kindred Kin-dred and Mr. and Mrs. William M. Mower. Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Crittenden of Salt Lake City visited Mrs. Alma Christiansen, Saturday. Mrs. Crittenden Crit-tenden is a cousin to Mrs. Christiansen. Christian-sen. Mrs. Mary Roseburg and her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon, called on Mrs. Alma Christiansen, Saturday. They were on their way from Salt Lake City to their home in Emmett, Idaho. They are former residents of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Woodward of Franklin, Idaho, visited during the A group of girls who have completed com-pleted their Primary association work were welcomed into the M. I. A., Tuesday. The girls were presented present-ed by Mrs. Zora Hansen, Primary president, and welcomed as Bee Hive girls by Mrs. Nettie Wilberg, young women's M. I. A. president. They are Edna Hooley, Maxine Morby, Jean Baxter, Joyce Beardall, Fawn Walker, Marie Harper and Dawn-Etta Dawn-Etta Swenson. Mrs. W. C. Smith, Mrs. Ida West, Mrs. H. W. Clark, Mrs. H. E. Bradley Brad-ley and Mrs. Mabell Jense attended the style dress review' of the 4-H clubs, at the Utah County Fair at Provo, Thursday. Nels Homer of Fallon, Nevada, visited in Manila Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick. He had just returned from the Washington Wash-ington state fair, where he acted as a judge. Mr. Homer is a former resident of Utah, and prominent dairyman of the state. Mrs. H. E. Johnson and family attended at-tended the reunion of descendants of John J. Hayes and George Hayes, at Fairmont park in Salt Lake City. Saturday. More than 150 enjoyed the afternoon's activities, which included in-cluded a picnic, program and other diversions. The family association also was organized. |
