Show An interesting social event of the past week was the reception given by Mr. and Mrs. Tarvel Hansen or Lehi and Mr. and Mrs. Orin Ash-ton Ash-ton of American Fork, in honor of the marriage of Miss Eva Lenora Hansen and Carl Thomas Ashton, last Saturday night in the DansArt at Lehi. J The young couple were married on Friday, November 20th, in the Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walton and family and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Steele spent Thanksgiving in Salt Lake City at the home of Mrs. Emma Anderson. An-derson. Friends of the family of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Beck will be glad to learn that their son, Kenneth, is much ' improved this week. Taylor attended at-tended a dinner party given in Pro-vo Pro-vo last Sunday night in honor of Mr. Taylor's father, W. J. Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. K. J. Bird had as dinner guests on Thanksgiving Mr-, and Mrs. Dean S. Webb of Lehi and Air. and Mrs. Lenis Abel and family fam-ily of Salt Lake City. Ifr. and Mrs. Georye Erown and baby of Murray were Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. Brown's parent:, par-ent:, Mr. and Mrs. Irving L. Pratt. Mrs. J. C. Orr, who is visaing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vein Beck spent Thanksgiving day in Provo at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. J. Mitchell. George A. Allen of Moroni has spent the last week in American Fonk visiting with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Allen. , Mrs. Eldon Chipman entertained at a delightful birthday party Saturday Satur-day afternoon in honor of the 5th birthday of her daughter, Doris Jean. Fourteen little guests enjoyed games and refreshments at a long table decorated in Thanksgiving style. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walton entertained en-tertained the following guests at an attractive dinner party last Satur- Phillip Greene and Mrs. Jesse Green. The centerpiece for the table was an attractively arranged fruit bowl while each place was marked with a small turkey favor. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Christensen spent Thanksgiving with Mrs. Chris-tensen's Chris-tensen's mother, Mrs. Joseph Ked-dington, Ked-dington, in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hawkins and j family and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Sutter Sut-ter of Provo spent Thanksgiving in Payson with Mr. and Mis. Hershel Wootton. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Beck on Thanksgiving were Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Evans and Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Johnson of Lehi, and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Walker and family of Pleasant Grove. The personnel of the "Sweetheart Chorus" from the play "Sky High," went to the Pleasant Grove C C C camp last Thursday and entertained ' Salt Lake temple. Fork News Mrs. Farmer of Escalante Is visiting visit-ing this week in American Fork with her daughter, Mrs. Z. Wymore. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Haslem and baby spent Sunday in American Amer-ican Fork, guests at the home of Mrs. E. N. Wagstaff. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Smith of Salt Lake City were guests at the home of Mrs. Albert Christensen last Sunday. James and B.yd Phillips, who are attending the Utah State Agii-.-ul-tural college in Logan, spent Thanksgiving with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Phillips. Miss Irene Giddings and Cran-dall Cran-dall Giddings who are attending the Brighnm Young university in Provo spent the week end with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Giddings. day night: Mr. and Mrs. K. Bridge was played after dinner, din-ner, Mr. and Mi's. Frank Gaisford winning the first prize and the second sec-ond prize was won by Mr. and Mrs. Glen Taylor. the camp boys with some of the clever dances from the play. The girls who made the trip were Max-ine Max-ine Hawkins, Vivian Seastrand, Dorothy Dor-othy Wright, Edna Eown and Lillian Lil-lian Seastrand. Mrs. Earl Holmstead entertsinerl the members of the Bee Orchis club on Friday of last week. A pleasant afternoon was spent in social chat, after which a delicious luncheon, (which carried out the Thanksgiving I theme, was served to 12 members present and the special guests, Mrs. J. M. Walker and Mrs. Will Preston. The Kensington society members of the Community church met at the home of Mrs. R. W. Clark Thursday Thurs-day afternoon. Eight members and two visitors were present. Mrs. James Arthur gave a splendid review re-view of the year's foreign missionary mission-ary book, "Africa." After the meeting meet-ing a delicious luncheon was served by the hostess.
