Show Local Items Mr. and Mrs. O. N. Brunker, sister ;md brother-in-law of Mrs. S. F. Grant, visited Mrs. Grant Wednesday. Wednes-day. UeVerl Nicholes of this city is one of the new students at Brigham Young university, having registered at the opening of tlie winter quarter. quart-er. Mrs. Trulan Eyre and two children of Salt Lake City visited over the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Clare Christensen. Mrs. Eyre is a sister of Mr. Allen and Mrs. Christensen. Chris-tensen. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Dean are expected ex-pected to return this week-end from a trip to the Pacific Coast. Leaving Thursday of last week, they planned to visit their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John O. Dean, at Upland, California, and then go on to Los Angeles and other points of interest, before returning. Mrs. Maud Wilde entertained the Merry Makers club, Friday afternoon after-noon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Humphries. Twelve members mem-bers were present. All report an enjoyable en-joyable time. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Emma Green, Mrs. Lot Featherstone, Mrs. Susie Miller and Mrs. Laura Spratley. The Feality club members were entertained Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Harvel Bennett. Postmaster S. T. Shelley is home from the Holy Cross hospital, after receiving treatment there for three weeks. He is reported to be improving improv-ing slowly. Glen L. Taylor, manager of the Dixon-Taylor-Russell store, and Tom Reese, who is employed there, attended the showing of the new 'westinghouse refrigerators, Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. The new models were on display at the Newhouse hotel, in Salt Lake City. Following a custom which they have observed every year since their marriages, three couples celebrated their fifteenth wedding anniversaries anniversa-ries together, here Monday night. A turkey dinner was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Mur-dock, Mur-dock, on the occasion. The couples are Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Clegg and Mr. and Mrs. Leland Gammon of Vineyard, and Mr. and Mrs. Mur-dock. Mur-dock. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on the same day, January 15, 1925, and since that time the couples have taken turns at entertaining on the triple anniversary, anni-versary, and they have met every year since their wedding day. Mrs. Clegg is the former Reva Stewart of Spanish Fork, and Mrs. Gammon is the former Lola Willetts of Orem. Mrs. Murdock is the former Pris-cilla Pris-cilla Pulley. |
