Show M. I. A. Gives Announcements The first union meeting of the M. I. A. 1934-35 season will be held in the stake tabernacle on Monday night, September 17th. A meeting of both the Young Men's and Young Women's stake boards will be held next Monday night, September 10th, at the home of the stake Y. L. M. I. A. president, Mrs. W. R. Halliday to arrange for the union meeting. The opening socials and meetings of the M. I. A.'s of the four wards of American Fork will be held next Tuesday night in the respective ward chapels commencing at 7:30 o'clock. All girls twelve years of age or who will have reached their twelfth birthday by October 31st, and girls of thirteen are eligible to attend Mutual from now on. This announcement an-nouncement reached the M. I. A. authorities of . this stake from the first presidency of the church re- cently. The problem as to whether the girls of this age shall belong to the Primary Association or the Mutual has been considered by the general authorities of both organizations organiza-tions for the past several years with the final decision that they shaU be assigned and placed in the M. I. A. and will no longer be required to attend Primary. The new Bee Hive plan announced by the General M. I. A. board takes care of this adjustment ad-justment for girls over 12 entering Mutual for the first time. The Fourth ward M. I. A. officers announce the following program and social has been outlined for then-ward then-ward members next Tuesday night. The meeting, commencing at 7:30 o'clock, will begin with a program consisting of the following numbers: Solo, R. W. Clark; piano accordian solos', Hershei Manning, Lehi; harmonica har-monica and guitar duet, George Pulley Pul-ley and Charles Wcatherbee; reading John Walker; piano solo, Elaine Smith; native dances by Mrs. Myrl. Storrs Stewart and daughter, Phyllis, and a playlet. Following the program the members will go to their respective classes for a short time for a brief outline of the year's work and will again reassemble for a short social period at which refreshments will be served. j Stephen L.
