Show Earl McTague Dies Following Operation J. Earl McTague, 52, died Sunday afternoon in a Provo hospital of complications following a major operation. op-eration. He was born in Springville on September 1, 1884, a son of John and Mattie Kindred McTague. He worked in Montana and Bingham before his marriage to Katie Robinson Rob-inson in Salt Lake City, March 31, 1908. Shortly after this time they moved to American Fork, where the family have since resided. He is survived by his widow, two sons, Wayne and Harry McTague, and one daughter, Marie McTague, all of American Fork. Funeral services for Earl McTague were held Thursday in the Third ward chapel with Bishop Frank Shelley in charge. The opening song, "In the Garden of Tomorrow" was sung by the Relief Society quartet quar-tet composed of Mrs. Leon Wagstaff, Mrs. Clara Rhodes, Mrs. Leona Anderson An-derson and Mrs. Edna Boley. G. Edward Ed-ward Abel offered the invocation. The speakers for the occasion were Bishop Joseph H. Storrs, Hudson Gordon and Vern Holindrake. Ray Shelley sang "Going Home" and Bishop Shelley made the closing remarks. re-marks. The quartet sang the closing clos-ing song, "The Land of Peace" after I which E. Ray Gardner offered the benediction. Interment was made in the City cemetery. |
