Show Ten Years Ago Now (Taken from files of Nov. 13, 1926) The school census which has recently been taken shows 970 children chil-dren in Pleasant Grove between the ages of 6 and 8 years of age. Of this number 927 were enrolled at the time the census was taken. Seventeen are legally excused. There are 242 enrolled in the high school, the balance being enrolled in the grades. Ten Years Ago Now ' Mrs. S. L. Chipman spent' Wednesday Wed-nesday in Pleasant Grove visiting with the parents and wives of missionaries mis-sionaries of the San Jose, California, Califor-nia, mission. She called on J. P. Fugal's family, -at Mrs. Reva West Fugal's, at Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Gam-mett's Gam-mett's and also at Meredith's. Ten Years Ago Now Camp No. 1 of the Daughters of the Pioneers met Thursday afternoon after-noon at the home of Nettie Walker. Sketches of the lives of the Wooley family were read. Ten Years Ago Now Friday night of last week Mrs. E. B. Walker entertained at a wedding shower for Mr. and Mrs. Sterling: Cluff whose marriage took. . place recently. Mrs. Cluff was formerly Miss Melba Walker. Ten Years Ago Now Ervine Smith left Monday morning morn-ing for Salt Lake to attend the missionary mis-sionary school preparatory to leaving leav-ing for the Swiss-German mission. Last Friday evening the Hedquist Drug Co. adjusting the dial of their radio heard the announcement from K. J. W. of San Jose, California, that 'Our good looking Utah friends' will furnish us some numbers. Interested in the announcement they listened and found the Utah musicians were Delbert Fugal and Miss Maurine Gammett of Pleasant Grove; Miss Nina Halliday and Norman Wing of American Fork. Ten Years Ago Now The Relief Society of the Windsor ward quilted four quilts Tuesday afternoon at the homes of the following fol-lowing ladies: Mrs. Alonzo Hooley, Mrs. Selena Marrott, Mrs. David Baxter and Mrs. Minnie Dittmore. |
