Show j Touching Services Serv-ices Held For Local Youth Ver.n Ambrose Jr., an active Scout of the Third ward, was laid to rest Sunday afternoon after funeral services held in the ward chapel. Fellow Scouts acted as pallbearers and were in charge of the beautiful flowers under the direction di-rection of Floyd Loveridge, Scoutmaster. Vern is the son of Vern Ambrose Sr., of this city. He died late Wednesday Wed-nesday evening after suffering for the past year with brights disease. A B. Allen, teacher of Agriculture at the local high school, was the speaker. He related little instances in the life of the deceasd that told of his congenial spirit and his willingness will-ingness to do his part in any undertaking. under-taking. He expressed his appreciation apprecia-tion of having had the opportunity to contact Vern and his pleasing personality. Bishop F. G. Shelley told of the work Vern had done in the ward, being a deacon at the time of his death, Mrs. LaDocia Wagstaff and Mrs. Clara Rhodes accompanied by Mrs. Annie Shipley sang the musical numbers "Unanswered Yet," "Sometime "Some-time We'll Understand" and "Farewell "Fare-well to Thee." The opening prayer was offered by Eli J. Clayson and the benediction by Wayne McTague, one of Vern's Scout leaders. Interment was made in the American Ameri-can Fork City cemetery where the grave was dedicated by former Bishop G. Edward Abel. |
