Show o r Recreation News This week the children are completing com-pleting the handcraft work for the summer and will be ready to start school next week. Many are asking if there will be other classes in recreation rec-reation handicraft and what about an exhibit. Yes there will be a handcraft exhibit but as , yet the date has not been set, so children keep your articles in good condition and you will be notified when to bring them in for the show. The adult handcraft classes held in the basement of the library will continue. At present the attendance is very good with new members still coming in. These classes are limited limit-ed to boys and girls of Mutual age and all older both men and women. Hexagon weaving frames are available avail-able for those who wish to buy their own yarn and do some weaving. All the WPA recreation workers of the Alpine school district met Tuesday with county supervisor -Mrs. Ireta B. Mason, and completed plans for Children's Day at the Utah County Fair Friday, September Septem-ber 8. The program is interesting and lively with plenty of prizes for everyone who participates. So boys and girls plan now to attend. If you aren't on the softball teams, the wrestling and boxing bouts, in the bicycle races or the tug-of-war, there are still many contests and races you may enter and receive prizes. |
