Show More performers needed for Fair by calling Randy Hoyt at 785 Councilwoman Mary e; general chairman of the Community Fair. Vicki Young, Community Fair talent show coordinator, has announced an-nounced that a few more performers perform-ers are needed for the Variety Show which will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, during the Pleasant Grove Community Fair at the Downtown Park. The Variety Show will be just one of the many activities available to citizens that day as the city celebrates cele-brates it's birthday. Themayor will kickoff the Variety Vari-ety Show with the annual presentation presen-tation of Community Service Awards at 1 p.m. Those who are interested in performing on the program, or who know someone who would be, are asked to call Vicki at 785- 4572. In addition, entries are being sought for the art show, crafts show, quilt show, fruit and vegetable vege-table judging, flower show, car show, and pet show. Other activities for the day include in-clude a flag ceremony at 7 a.m. followed by the Lions Club breakfast break-fast from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. TheDUPMuseum andlog cabin will be open for tours, a rodeo fun day will be held at the Rodeo Grounds, and the Kiwanis Club will hold an auction at 11 a.m. The Kiwanis Club is seeking appropriate appropri-ate items to auction off to raise funds. They would appreciate any donations of items to sell. Call Maurice Peterson at 785-4537. Commercial booths will also be available for rent. Boutique items, non-profit organization fund raisers, rais-ers, and businesses are invited to participate. Booths may be rented |
