State Street, just north of the Purple Turtle. , Roseanne Smith, State Farm agent in Pleasant Grove, recently built the new office building near the site of the former office. The former State Farm office was razed recently along with sev-eral other structures east of it to make room for expansion of the Purple Turtle. Everyone in the community, even current policy holders, is in-vited to the grand opening. There will be refreshments, free road at-lases, and candy, gum and balloons for the kids during the event. Roseanne became the Pleasant Grove State Farm agent last Octo-ber when Calvin Blohm was pro-moted to a management position with the insurance company. She said her goal is to just give good insurance service to the people of the area. A Pleasant Grove resident in the Manila area, Roseanne formerly sold medical and surgical equip-ment in the eight western states. She is assisted at the State Farm office by Chris Knuteson, who is the office manager, and Jolene West, appointment secretary. Landscaping for the new build-ing is being done by Paul Giles so that it will coordinate with the nearby city entrance. Brookline Farms planted the shrubs. Roseanne said that ifanyone has any questions about insurance or wants information on life, health, auto or home insurance, to stop in or give her a call at 785-426- Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Roseanne explained that State Farm does have monthly payment plans, the only company in the industry that provides that service themselves. They also have business and commercial packages. State Farm offers a $1 million personal liability umbrella policy, they offer a $150 per day hospital inncome policy, mortgage disabil-ity policy, income disability policy, life insurance policies and mort-gage insurance policies. She said that some State Farm advantages are computerized of-fice operation, professionally trained office staff, family insur-ance checkup, dividend payments to policy holders, package dis- - Roseanne Smith, left, State Farm agent in Pleasant Grove, and Chris Knuteson, office manager, discuss the grand opening of their new building. counts and package policies.
