As is their custom, husbands and guests were also included. Special guests were Norma Fugal and Delores Dixon. A cheerful greeting was made by president Lucille Jense, the prayer was offered by Joyce Sumner, and everyone en-joyed a very satisfying dinner served by Chuck-A-Ram- a. A delightful, especially made favor for each member added a decorative touch to the tables and the sincere good will and love shared among Cadmus friends seemed to be increased in the light of the holiday season. After dinner, the guest en-tertainers, members of the Jess Walker family, were introduced by . Donna Walker. With guitar ac-companiment, Robert, Steve and Lynn Walker carolled to the group with sacred, popular and novelty carols. Using as their theme of miracles at Christmas, Judy, Ardith and Elaine Walker entertained with short story and poetry. '"4w,v - - Ellen Dodge The children of Ellen M. Dodge announce the 80th birthday of their mother. She will be honored at an open house on Saturday, Dec. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Lions Center, 600 E. Center. The event is open to all friends and relatives. The family requests no gifts. Ellen was born Dec. 27, 1906 in Centercreek, Utah to Joseph A. and Rebecca Myler. She became the wife of George A. Dodge on Oct. 27, 1932. He died Aug. 4, 1981. She and her husband moved to Pleasant Grove from Provo in 1951 and raised their nine children here. As an active member of the LDS Church, she has served in all organizations on a ward basis, and currently serves as a visiting teacher in the Pleasant Grove Second Ward. Her hobbies of quilting and other handiwork have been shared with all of her children and grandchildren, as well as many friends. She is the mother of seven daughters and two sons: Maralyn Ellen and Cheryl, all of Pleasant Grove; Evelyn, Lander, Wyo.; LaRue, Providence, Utah; Dahl, Mankato, Minn.; Shane, Coeur d'alene, Idaho; Georgia, Mesa, Ariz.; Arvilla, Leland, Utah; one daughter, Virginia, is deceased. '- --- f 1 Evelyn Nielson, chairman of the Eagles Aerie Christmas charities, wraps gifts for some of the 11 families they are helping. The local Eagles have done this project for 18 years. Eagles Aerie aids needy families, plans annual New Year's Eve party The officers of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 3372, express a sincere appreciation to those who have supported the lodge this past year and invite your continued support for the new year. This has been a really good year and our presidents, Lowell Strasberg and Delores Moss, want to thank each Of you for your sup-port of the president's project. We now have a big-scre- TV for our enjoyment. Members and their guests come say good-by- e to 1986 and hello to 1987 at the lodge on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Our New Year's festivities will start at 8 p.m. and will include hats, noise makers, setups, draft beer and an buffet. The donation is $15 for singles and $30 per couple. Senior citizens 65 and older are half price. Remember your friends want to celebrate this gala evening with you. Young Adults plan New Year's Dance 1 By KALYN SECRETAN Representatives from the Multi-Regio- n Young Adults gathered to finalize plans for the big event of the year, the New Year's Eve Dance. The dance will be held Dec. 31 from 9 p.m. until l a.m. at the Timpanogos Stake Center. The cost is $4 per person which includes the dance, refreshments and noisemakers. The Multi-Regio- n includes all the stakes in Pleasant Grove, American Fork and Lehi. Stake represen-tatives have been given assign-ments and will provide decorations and refreshments. A full year calendar of events has been projected for the coming year. Monthly dances will be held on the second Saturday of each month in the Pleasant Grove Stake Center. Firesides will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the American Fork 12th-2- Ward Chapel. They will be held ond the third Sunday of each month. P All Young Adults are encouraged to come. With many home for the holidays, a crowd is anticipated to;i welcome the New Year. i f.' He is active in the LDS Church, and has served in the temple, doing genealogy work, has been secretary to his high priest group and senior Aaronic group. He is also a home teacher. Mrs. Pectol was born in Lehi to Isaac and Annie Rachel Carson. She is the second of six children. She is a homemaker, wife and motherand enjoys cooking and crocheting. She is active in the LDS Church, having served as visiting teacher for many years and in the Relief Society Nursery. She has also done temple and genealogical work. They are the parents of one daughter, LaRae, of American Fork. Melvin Fredrick and Ramona Fox Pectol of American Fork will celebrate their 50th wedding an-niversary Dec. 26. The Pectols were married Dec. 26, 1936, in Provo. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Pectol was born in Kanesville, Wayne County, on Oct. 28, 1903, to Christan Fredrick and Dorothy Lucinda Carrell Pectol. He was the third of nine children.
