Show Children's parade helps Primary Medical Center Pleasant Grove City's annual Strawberry Days celebration will be ready to get off the ground with the Children's Parade which will be held on Wednesday, June 19 at 6 p.m. This is a very special parade, not only for the children who participate, par-ticipate, but for the children at the Primary Children's Medical Center. You see, the Strawberry Days Association will donate five cents to the medical center for each child who participates in the parade. Last year alone the donation was $250. Participants are also given a popsicle and a free ride ticket for the carnival. The Strawberry Days Committee realizes that some parents consider it too much of a hassel to get their children dressed up or to get wagons and bikes decorated for the parade, but the children always enjoy it and the medical center really benefits. Participants should meet with their ward group in the parking lot at Nortons Store. Children may dress in costume and decorate their wagons, make miniature floats, etc. No bikes or tricycles will be allowed. The theme for the parade is "In the Good Old Summer Time". Children ages five and under must be accompanied by an adult. |
