He was preceded in death by a daughter. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 19th Ward Chapel, 975 N. 60 East, American Fork. Friends may call at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 North Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Alpine City Cemetery. 1 i '"ft Dwain LeRue Morris died Nov. 6, 1984, in Provo following a long illness. He was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Gerber, Calif., to Lee A. and Eveline Hancock Morris. He married Roberta Jane Spencer on Feb. 2, 1953 in American Fork. The marriage was later soleminzed in the Mesa, Arizona, LDS Temple. He was a crane operator at U.S. Steel's Geneva Plant for 19 years. He was an active member of the American Fork 19th LDS Ward and has served as a scoutmaster. scout-master. He was serving as first counselor in the Sunday School at the time of his death. Johnnie Frank Densmore, 52, died Oct. 29, 1984 in a Murray hospital of cancer. He was born Jan. 5, 1932 in Bessemer, Ala., to Frank F. and Emma Wagner Densmore. He married Joy Allene Sanders Dec. 8, 1950 in Bessemer, Ala. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. He was general foreman for Daniel Construction Co. He was a member of the LDS Church and served as branch president, in the Birmingham, Ala. district presidency, in (Donna) Hyde, Mrs. Roger (Judith) Lewis, both of Salt Lake City; Susan Densmore and Mrs. Jeffery (Janice) Cobb, both of Lehi; 14 grandchildren; mother, Emma Densmore, Bessemer, Ala.; one brother and two sisters: Frank Fletcher Densmore Den-smore Jr. of Morris, Ala.; Mrs. Elvin (Dorothy) Smith of McCalla, Ala; and Mrs. Curtis (Helen) Hyche of Hueytown, Ala. Services were held Friday in the Lehi Stake Center. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, American Fork; one daughter and four sons: Mrs. Boyd (Josie) Crosby, West Jordan; Brad Morris, Sandy; Lynn C. Morris, Tempe, Ariz.; Wyatt and Troy Morris, American the Sunday School, MIA and as a stake missionary. He is survived by his wife of Lehi; one son and four daughters: Johnnie Frank Densmore Den-smore Jr., Bessemer, Ala.; Mrs. Douglas Margaret Hayes Karl Black Margaret Hayes, 80, of Pleasant Grove, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 1984 in Pleasant Grove. She was born March 3, 1904 in Pleasant Grove, a daughter of William L. and Harriet Richards Hayes. She never married. She was an active member of the LDS Church, living in the Pleasant Grove 5th Ward. She was a temple worker. She received her education in Pleasant Grove and Utah State University, receiving her teaching degree in 1930. She taught school in Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove and Vineyard, retiring after 40 years of service. ser-vice. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Survivors include a brother and a sister, Mrs. Eleroy R. (Lois) West and Spencer W. Hayes, both of Pleasant Grove. Services were held Friday in the Pleasant Grove 5th Ward. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Frank Mills of the Pleasant Grove Fifth Ward. Pallbearers were Tim Durrant, William West, Kenneth Short, Reggie Carlson, Tom Carlson, John Barton, Wayne Hunsaker, David Pingree, and Steven Hayes. The family prayer was given by Glen Durrant. The prelude and postlude were played by Louise Johnson. The invocation was by Gary Carlson. Terry and Irene Jenkins played a piano-organ piano-organ duet, "The Lords Prayer." The life sketch was by Kathleen Durrant. The congregation sang, "I Need Thee Every Hour." Speakers were Spencer Hayes and Eleroy H. West. Bishop Mills gave remarks. Eleroy West and Harriet Barton sang, "Abide With Me 'Tis Eventide," accompanied ac-companied by Elizabeth Thatcher. The benediction was by Dean Gordon and the grave was dedicated by Spencer Hayes. Karl G. Black, 68, American Fork, died Saturday, Nov. 3, in the American Fork Hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1915 in Ammon, Idaho, a son of William Shirley .and Verna Johnson Black. He married Ivie Lurlene Richardson Nov. 24, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died April 2, 1981. He married Phyllis Mae Smith Aug. 8, 1981 in American Fork. He was an active member of the LDS Church living in the American Fork 13th Ward and holding the office of High Priest. He had served missions with his wife Phyllis in Mississippi and Jackson Hole, Wyo. He had also been bishop I of the Denver 1st Ward, : and had served as a : high counselor and executive secretary. He was employed by Mountain Bell Telephone and AT&T in supervisory capacities : in Salt Lake City, Denver, Colo., and New York City, retiring in 1975. Surviving are his wife of American Fork; a daughter and two sons, Mrs. John (Carol) Linebaugh of Pleasant Grove; K. Dean Black, Springville; and Ronald E. Black, Salt Lake City; three stepdaughters step-daughters and four stepsons, David Neal of Twin Falls, Idaho; Dan Neal of Alcova, Wyo.; Mrs. Dennis (Cindy; Nevins of Salt Lake City; Tom Neal of Santa Maria, Calif.; Mrs. Mel (Linda) Harder, Buhl, Idaho; Mrs. Nova (Shari) Valeti, Provo; and Randy Neal of American Fork; 36 grandchildren; one great grandchild; his stepmother, Marva Black of Ivins; four brothers and a sister; Shirl Black, Nampa, Idaho; Herman Black, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Maurice Black, Ogden; Vernal Black, Sandy; and Nyta Black, Springville. Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 13th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Provo City Cemetery. |
