The life sketch was given by Arlene Laycock and Bishop J.H. Hadfield gave consoling remarks to the family. A musical number "Hold Thou My Hand" was sung by Rulon Nicholes and Kenneth Robinson, accompanied by Arlene Hadfield. President Stanford J. Reid was the next speaker followed by a musical number "In the Garden" by Sylvia Farnsworth, accompanied by Caroline Carlton. David Carlton gave the benediction and the dedication of the grave in the American Fork City Cemetery was by Marvin J. Postlude and r , 1 - " A.-.- ix y :: v ; if JOHN LAYCOCK. George 'Peg Taylor UNDON- - George H. "Peg" Taylor, 82, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1982 in the St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City. He was born July 24, 1900 in Provo to Walter G. and Agnes McKinlay Taylor. He married Norma Simmons on June 24, 1920 in Provo. She died Nov. 14,1978. He was a member of the IDS Church in the Lindon Fifth Ward. He " also was a member of the Eagles and Elks Clubs. He worked as a livestock broker. Survivors include one son and one daughter; v Kent H. Taylor, Por-- ' Hand, Ore.; Mrs. G.K. (Polly) Burnham, Salt Lake City; three grandchildren; eight one brother and one sister; Mrs. H.T. (Inez) s Sutton and John W. z (Bun) Taylor, Provo. Funeral services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Olpin Family Mortuary. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove .City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop Garth Gillman. Pallbearers were Lon Hooley, Holly Maxfield, Harold Hooley, Wesley Swenson, Oliver Johnson and Leland Gillman. Family prayer was given by John W. Taylor, the invocation was by H.T. (Doc) Sutton, the benediction was by Owen Hooley, and the dedication of the grave was by W.K. Burnham. The prelude and postlude were played by Carol Berg. A vocal duet composed of Audra Hooley and Annie Smith sang "Whispering Hope" accompanied by Carol Berg. An organ medley was also played by Carol Berg. Speakers were Max Edwards, Lowell Gillman and Bishop Gillman. Ludwte L. Kliewer Ludwig Levi Kliewer, age 81, died Nov. 13, 1982. He was born Nov. 26, 1900 in Newton, Kansas to John Peter and Eva Jantz Kliewer. He married LaVone Olsen, Feb. 15, 1944 in Los Angeles, she died June 21, 1970. He was a veteran of WWII, had a retail sales business and was an active member of the LDS Church. He was a temple worker in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. He was a former member of the Menonite Faith and later joined the LDS Church. He is survived by one son and one daughter, Al Kliewer, Orem; Mrs. Oscar (Jeri) Martinez, El Paso, Texas. Eight grandchildren, one brother William Kliewer Laucaster, Calif. ; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Brackney, Mrs. Sarah Voth, Mrs. Matilda Voth, Mrs. Regina Schmidt, all of Newton, Kansas. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Orem south Central Stake Center. Burial was in Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills Cemetery Los Angeles, Calif. Memorial services were held in Newton Kansas, Wed., Nov. 17, 1982. New slide going great at indoor pool The new slide at the American Fork Indoor Swimming Pool is "going fantastic" ac-cording to pool officials. "The kids are really getting a kick out of it," they reported. Wednesday and Thursday evenings are the slowest nights at the pool, said DeLayna Crockett, pool director. "If you want to come on a night when the pool isn't crowded, you might try one of these," she said. The pool will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Dec. 24 and 25, and December 31 and January 1 for the holidays. : if, "' " & o ' , mi niT - - Miss Crockett said the pool will open Dec. 20 at 7 p.m., and will open regular public swim hours during the holiday period of Dec. 20 until Dec. 30. "If someone wants to have a party with 15 or more persons in it, they can arrange to have the pool opened by con-tacting me before Dec. 17. This will allow time to make arrangements for a life guard to be present," she said. A special rate will be offered during the period of Dec. 20 to Dec. 30 - 50 cents for children and $1 for adults, the rates would apply for any party during this time. Haircutting Class Because of unforseen complications, it will not be possible to offer the hair cutting class as planned, Miss Crockett said. Pool Director, DeLayna Crockett promises other additions that will make the . indoor pool even more attractive.
