Council determined that it would handle the extension the same as it did for the Garden Village developers. The district will initially pay for the installation of the line and will be reimbursed as people hook on to that line. line to avoid the five foot side yard requirement which can become a weedy, trashy mess. This would allow for a larger front yard area. ' Council gave approval for a business license to AGAPE Force for door-to-do- soliciting. The group will sell children's records. The non-prof- it organization has the merchandise at hand and buyers can purchase it on the spot. The public safety commission will review a petition for a four-wa- y stop at 1100 N. and 600 W. The request was made because of the number of little children going to and from schools in the area and the speed of the vehicles on 1100 N. Council appointed the judges of election for the general election to be held Nov. 3. City Council Continued from Front Page the water department. Mayor Haynie read the census update which shows that Pleasant Grove has a population of 10,833 and 3,076 housing units as of April 1, 1980. In the 1970 census the city had a population of 5, 327. Garden Village Plats A and B were approved by the council. This will be a Mobile Home Park located at ap-proximately 2000 West and 1100 North. Developers of this park suggested that it would be nicer to have the homes placed right on the property From the Front Grove Finance Continued from Front Page However, according to Fowler, Haycock and his wile will be able to keep interest in a mountain cabin having an estimated value of $:SO,000 and two residences located in Pleasant Grove with total estimated value of $111,000 because funds from Grove Finance Co. are not traceable into the acquisition of those properties. Haycock's wife will also get free and clear title to a 1979 Pontiac LeMans. Conceding the $5 judgment means that Haycock's liabilities in his personal bankruptcy filing will in-crease by $5 million. Grove Finance's $5 million judgment will be treated as an unsecured creditor and its claim will be paid only after secured creditors have been fully liquidated. Though Fowler said the agreement's in the best interest of Grove's creditors, he admitted the move still falls far short of recovering all of the missing funds in the Grove debacle. This week your sons came home from the game and even though they were dog-tire- d some of them even volunteered to help wash the dishes. Amazing. You may not have any dirty dishes at that time of night but who cares. The last times Roger, George or Frank volunteered to clean up a messy kitchen was when their chemistry experiment exploded inside your blender back in 1977. Chances are some of you parents looked under a few beds for stray spoons and probed your son's backpack for a dirty knife just 10 get the pleasure of watching your macho son do a little manual labor. American Fork and Pleasant Grove played each other Wed-nesday after this paper went So players for one team washed dishes Wednesday night because they wanted to and the players for the other team washed dishes at the same time because they had to. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Fortunately, I didn't know the outcome of the game when this was written. Otherwise I'm sure some dirty dishes would be waiting for me. Police Arrest Juveniles Pleasant Grove police have arrested two juveniles in connection with several daytime home burglaries in the Pleasant Grove area. One of the juveniles was placed in a detention home and the other was released to the care of his parents. Officers involved in the in- - ; vestigation include Lt.
