Show Open House to Honor Arthur Watsons The children and grandchildren of Arthur Ar-thur T. and Rebecca Roskelly Watson of Pleasant Grove are giving an open house in honor of their parents 50th wedding anniversary. It will be held on Friday, June 6, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts. The couple were married mar-ried on June 6, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Watson was born in Riverside, Idaho. He spent 45 years as an agent for Beneficial Life Insurance In-surance Co, thirty two years in Twin Falls Idaho and the remainder re-mainder in Pleasant Grove. He also had his own real estate office GOLDEN WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Watson will celebrate anniversary with open house. both stake and ward and has taught in all of them. Most of her friends know and remember her as a master teacher. She also taught seminary for a short time in Twin Falls. They both served a stake mission for two and a half years in Twin Falls. They also worked in the Provo Temple. They are the parents of six children, five daughters and a son who is deceased, Arthur Ar-thur T. Watson Jr.) The daughters are Mrs. Albert (Barbara) Pozernick, Heyburn Idaho; Mrs Parley (Yvonne) Tewalt, Escondido, Calif; Mrs. Richard (Reba) White, La Mirada, Calif; Mrs Keith (Dolores) Stirling, Stirl-ing, Pleasant Grove; Mrs Donald (Gayla) Bass, Provo. They also have an adopted daughter Mrs. Wesley (Cheryl)Gordon, and raised another granddaughter, grand-daughter, Connie Ten-dick. Ten-dick. Marie Pozernick, another grandaughter lived with them for several years. They have 29 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. in Twin Falls for several years. The couple cou-ple has lived in Pleasant Plea-sant Grove for sixteen years. Mr. Watson earned several outstanding outstan-ding awards from Beneficial Life and was the first man in Idaho to write 2 million dollars worth of insurance. in-surance. He won convention con-vention trips almost every year to many places in the U.S. including in-cluding Alaska, Mexico, Mex-ico, and Canada. He organized the first Vanguard (now explorer) ex-plorer) troop of scouts in Idaho. He has served serv-ed in two LDS bishoprics, as Sunday School Superintendent and many other LDS church callings. He is presently a member of the Pleasant Grove Kiwarus Club. Mrs. Watson taught school for three years before her marriage in Box Elder County and in Pocatello Idaho. She has served in the presidencies of most LDS church auxiliaries |
