Show Public Hearings On the Draft Environmental Statement Public Hearings on the Draft Environmental Statement for Aquaduct Scheduled Public hearings on the draft statement for the proposed aquaducts through Pleasant Grove will be held at the Wasatch Junior High School, Heber City, Utah, on May 8, at Utah Technical College Col-lege in Orem, Utah on May 9, and at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 10, 1979. All of the hearings wil begin at 5 p.m. and will continue until all comments com-ments have been heard. Req uests for scheduled presentations presenta-tions will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. May 2, 1979, and any subsequent sub-sequent requests will be handled on a first come first served basis following the scheduled presentations. If you desire to speak at one of the hearings or if you have any questions on the statements that the Bureau of Reclamation may answer before the hearings, one of the offices of-fices listed below should be contacted. Moreover, if you desire to have your comments concerning the statement printed in their entirety in the final statement, they should be submitted in writing to the listed offices of-fices or to BOR official representatives at the public hearings. All comments should be submitted within 45 days. Plummer, Regional Director. City officials are requesting that all citizens attend one of the hearings and express ex-press their concerns or make written statements to the BOR. All organized clubs and groups are encouraged to make a sustained effort ef-fort to accomplish this goal. A copy of the Draft Statement may be reviewed at Pleasant Grove: City Hall. The city has proposed an alternate plan that would include piping the present canal and placing the proposed aquaducts in the same right of way to reduce the impact on the city. |
