Show Ruth Bezzant Will Give Book Review Dec. 12 On December 12, at 4 p.m. Ruth Bezzant will review the appealing book, "The Melodian" by Glendon Swarthout. this book is the story of a family that, during the depression, tried to give a family heirloom, their beloved melodian, to the church. All Pleasant Grove citizens are invited to participate in this review and the lively discussing following. Yesterday our new council woman, Donna Brock, reviewed "The Greatest Salesman in the World" by Og Man-dino. Man-dino. this delightful book should be a must on everyones reading list. It was highly enjoyed. en-joyed. Thank you Donna. Don-na. These reviews are presented every week on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Recreation Center in the West room that is being beautifully decorated by members of the Garden Club and University Women's Association. Elain Reay and Moya Told are presently making mak-ing lovely draperies for this room with the help of Rick Everett, a local interior design profes- Ruth Bezzant sional, who is the instructor in-structor of the community com-munity interior design classes. Faye and Gerald Belliston have generously donated the material for these draperies. A stately Christmas tree for this room is being be-ing decorated by Joyce Pitts, Moya Told, Velma Gillman, Debbie Ragan, and other Garden Club members. Other projects are underway to make this room an attractive one in which to hold family parties or small family reunions, as well as a meeting place for any group in the community communi-ty that desires a comfortable com-fortable room that will accommodate large groups. |
